Thanks to the overwhelming support and love from its valued patrons, That Year China is thrilled to open its second restaurant in Vancouver. This new venture is a testament to its commitment to providing exceptional dining experiences and sharing the passion for Sichuan food with even more guests.


Our interior design concept for the second location of That Year China seeks to encapsulate the essence of Sichuan’s culinary and cultural traits, offering diners a sensory journey through the rich history and dynamic spirit of Sichuan province. Sichuan cuisine is famous for its fiery flavors, and we will reflect this in our design through a palette of deep reds, earthy yellows, and rich browns. These warm, inviting colors will infuse the space with the warmth and energy of Sichuan's culinary traditions. We will fuse traditional elements like wooden lattice screens, antique artifacts, and calligraphy with contemporary materials and lighting to create a harmonious blend of old and new.
